How to upload brushes into Photoshop
I know, I know... there's quite a few of these guides floating around. But this is just to go with my free brushes. Anyway, let's get started.
Step 1: Download your brushes
Well, this is the easy part. Simply download some brushes. xD I'll be using the free brushes on my site as a guide. Ok, to get started go to the Free Brushes page.Download the brushes by clicking the 'Download' text link:

You should get a pop-up that looks like the one below (but, obviously with a different file name if you clicked another one.) From here, check the 'Save to Disk' button and then click 'OK':
Go look on your desktop (or another place your downloaded files save too) to see if it has been properly downloaded.
Step 2: Open Photoshop
Well... this one's obvious. But I thought I’d put it in anyway. xD I don't really need an image to show this, do I?Oh... and you might need to open a new file if you want to test the brushes out. ^^
Step 3: Installing Brushes
Now, click the Brushes icon in the sidebar of your Photoshop. The one that looks like this:
Now, to upload your new brushes, click on the arrow next to the small brush preview on the top-bar. (Shown in a red box)
This should then open a drop-down menu. From here, click the small round arrow at the top-right. (Shown in Blue):
Upon clicking that arrow, another drop-down menu should appear. This time, click 'Load Brushes':
Now, all you have to do is find the brushes you downloaded. Go to your desktop (or the place where you saved it) and select the brush (.abr) file. (in red)
Then click 'Load' (in blue)
and that's it! You've uploaded your brushes! The new brushes will just add themselves onto the list by themselves.
You can now view them in the brush drop-down menu and use them freely:
Hope this helped. If you have any further questions, or this method does not work for you, feel free to contact me.
