Aiiro - In the Making
Aiiro and its previous reincarnations have had a rather slow upbringing. So, be prepared for a long and boring history lesson. xDEverything started out as a small idea in the back of my brain. I wanted to make my own Pokémon region. I started to plan everything, writing down notes in my spare time. I actually went and bought a small book to write all of it up. Looking back now, I had no idea what I was doing. Basically, all that the book contained was a list of city names. xD
I decided I wanted to publish this information on the internet. At the time, I thought I would just be able to type up my work and go from there. Well, I can just say now I was wrong. xD I started a Freewebs account after stumbling across it somehow. So, my small region project became a small Freewebs site named "The Genyo Region". It was primarily a place for me to work on and publish my region project- Without the need of a pen and paper. :P
Unfortunately, back then I had no clue how to do anything website related. Heck, I didn't even know how to spell HTML. At the time, it was a horrible Freewebs layout. As a result of time, boredom and no hits; that site and the project was abandoned. :(
Many months later, I got back into web-mastery once more. I had taught myself basic html from online tutorials and was also taught some of the more complicated stuff by Sarah of The Poké Center website. This was the birth of my first ever official website; Beedrill's Hive. I was so proud of my little site. xD On there, I uploaded most of the old info from the Genyo Region and continued to make bits and bits. The site attracted a little attention and started to earn some affiliates. After a month or two, I started to get bored with my old site. As the site grew, the html in the pages got more and more jumbled. I like to keep everything in order, so this was really bad to me. So I decided to start afresh; I found the link to Eonlight Valley through one of my Affiliates; Elite Poke. I 'took' one of Eonlight's Free Layouts (he he ^^) and I organised all my older pages into newer, cleaner ones. Plus adding a few more! :3 I also officially re-named the site 'Sevault Canyon', in reference to a place on Seven Island in Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen with the same name. Things started to look up, the site became slightly more popular, I started to get some regular visitors; it was great. xD
After a while at Freewebs. I was... urged to get a host. I didn't have the money to pay, so I found Parasyte Hosting. They uploaded my site for free! :D After the site grew and grew, I started to make my own layouts using Photoshop (and Eonlight Valley's tutorial for the coding ;D). I also made a forum which went by the name of 'Tanoby Ruins Forum', in reference to the Tanoby Ruins, also in FireRed/LeafGreen and just off Sevault Canyon.
Pokemon Chibi was owned by fellow Pe2k forum-goer, Azumao. She and I decided to become partner site’s (Which has probably benefited me more than her xD) Um... that's the whole story. xD
I don't know what compelled me to do it, but I needed a change. I completely demolished my old site, Sevault Canyon (save for the content xD) and fashioned a new site back at good ol' Freewebs (not -_-). To put it short; I hated Freewebs, left as quickly as possible. xD
I applied at Eevee's HeadQuarters for hosting. Luckily, I got accepted. ^^ From there, the site has continued to mature. And everybody lived happily ever after. The End.
